The challenge was to make a hat that was more breathable without sacrificing durability, and of course, make it stylish. Dylan’s signature colorway, Olive Camo, wasn’t chosen at random. It reflects the landscapes where he finds the most joy - the great outdoors. It’s a colorway that feels earned, not assigned, pulling tones from nature where he feels most connected.
“I’ve worked with the melin team for a few years now and have always appreciated the level of detail they bring to their design,” said Dylan Efron. “The Retro hat has this effortless style to it that makes it easy to wear anywhere. I’ve been wearing it for months now, and it works just as well when I’m outside exploring as it does when I’m meeting up to hangout with friends.”

We built this collection around a technical challenge - deliver something lightweight and breathable while keeping the durability needed for continuous adventures. The answer was our DuraLink Mesh. A premium micromesh engineered by interlinking material at a higher density than traditional mesh. The tighter linkage gives it strength and retention while keeping airflow wide open, all wrapped in a soft, smooth, unstructured build for a comfortable all-day wear.
