melin x USC Two Fingers. Two Words.

Two raised fingers. Two loud words.

It began on a piano in 1922, when a dental student named Milo Sweet played a melody at USC's campus YMCA. Saxophonist Glen Grant overheard it and helped put the finishing touches on it by writing lyrics. A year later, in a contest of 30 songs, it placed second. Although the student who wrote the winner voted for Milo and Glen’s submission. The core phrase went on to transcend athletics and become a motto for students and alumni alike.

More than a century later, it's still the song the band plays. Fight on for ol' SC, and the fans answer with two fingers in the air. It looks like a peace sign. It isn't. It's a hello, a word of encouragement, and a goodbye.

That's the kind of tradition we made this collection to honor.

USC was founded in Los Angeles in 1880. On the field, it has had a gold medalist at every Summer Olympics since 1912, eight Heisman Trophy winners, and 139 national championships. In the classroom, it is the oldest private research university in California, home to the first School of Architecture in Southern California and Nobel Prizes in Chemistry in 1994 and 2013. None of it arrived in a single season. It accumulated these honors.

This Saturday, Ohio State comes to the Coliseum, the first meeting between the two since the 2017 Cotton Bowl. It will be the loudest place in Los Angeles. Whether you're attending or not, show your spirit in our latest collection with USC.

Two Odysea Rope colors and a Legend, each built with USC to honor their tradition and legacy.
