Everything’s Gonna Be Alright

We just launched a hat that was very personal to us. Not only does it commemorate a long-standing friendship with someone close to many of us at melin, but it continues his giving legacy in his absence. There’s many stories we can share about Richard - ones that speak to his generosity, his love for family and friends and the overwhelming positivity he brought to every aspect of his life.

A Quiet Giver

In person, Richard was loud - in a good way. He was everyone’s best friend, with a booming laugh and a smile that was contagious. But down to his core, he was a giver. He helped whenever and wherever he could, from donations to connections or rolling up the sleeves - whatever it took to help. He cared deeply about helping kids that were in need. Miracles for Kids awarded him the 2023 Miracle Maker of the Year but he also quietly paid tuition, medical bills and more for underprivileged children.

A Lasting Impact

To continue his giving spirit, his wife Nikki set-up the Live Like Rich Foundation. This foundation will continue Richard’s legacy of giving by continuing his philanthropic efforts to the charities, organizations and people he was passionate about helping.

The Laguna Connection

Richard was the driving force behind the opening of our first Customer Experience Lab in Laguna Beach. A small space was available next to the La Casa Del Camino hotel right on PCH that he said was perfect for us. At first, it felt like a big leap, but he was persistent. If you knew Richard, it’s hard to say no to him, so we jumped at the opportunity he gave us. Two and a half years later, we just opened CEL #6 and we owe it all to the encouragement and belief he had in us.
