How to clean your melin HYDRO hat

So we build the HYDRO range to take a lickin and keep on tickin. The hats are literally made from the ground up with the premise being they have to be the most water and sweat friendly headwear in the world for the most active, sweaty, dirty humans out there. So essentially we know people are going to abuse em and rightfully so. In fact our tag line is "melin HYDRO is built to enable you to have more fun in the sun this summer. Made to accompany you around the globe or around the block, through the sprinklers or through the barrel, on the wake or in the lake, over the falls or through them, from tide pools to Vegas pools and everywhere in between."

Issue is with abuse comes battle wounds; scuffs from tree branches, marks and smudges from dirt or mud and of course the natural human body cooling itself, aka "SWEAT". So this is how you bring your battle tested melin HYDRO back to red carpet ready...

For small spots or light marks

Step 1: Dampen a soft rag with warm water
Use a clean rag that is warm and damp, not soaking wet.

Step 2: Add a small amount of mild soap
Apply a mild soap or detergent to the rag and lather it lightly.

Step 3: Gently spot clean the stained area
Rub the marked area softly until the blemish starts to lift. Avoid scrubbing too hard.

Step 4: Rinse away the soap
Use clean water to rinse the treated area thoroughly so no soap remains.

Step 5: Let the hat air dry for 24 hours
Place the hat in a cool, well-ventilated area and allow it to dry fully before wearing it again.

For deeper cleaning or more persistent stains

Step 1: Wet the entire hat with warm water
Run the hat under warm water until the full surface is evenly wet.

Step 2: Apply mild dish soap to a soft rag
Add a decent amount of mild dish soap to your rag and lather it up.

Step 3: Clean the top of the hat
Gently wipe the crown and exterior panels to remove dirt, sweat, and surface buildup.

Step 4: Clean the brim and underbrim
Wipe both the top and underside of the brim, using light pressure.

Step 5: Clean under the sweatband and inner lining
Pay close attention to the sweatband and liner, where sweat and residue tend to build up most.

Step 6: Clean the back of the hat
Wipe down the back panels as well, since sweat can collect there too.

Step 7: Rinse the hat thoroughly
Rinse the entire hat well, making sure all soap is removed from the fabric, brim, and interior areas.

Step 8: Let the hat air dry for 24 hours
Place the hat in a spot with airflow and let it dry completely for about 24 hours before using it again.
