Welcome to the Fam!
We are so excited to officially welcome our friend Eli Olson to the melin Fam. We ran into Eli years ago on the North Shore, and since that first meeting we’ve gotten to know him more and more over the years. We always look to add the highest quality humans to our elite roster of athletes, ambassadors and adventurers - Eli is no exception. From melin Fam, Mark Healey, speaking so highly of him to the recent trips he’s joined us on, he is the embodiment of our ethos. He’s a healthy mix of training, playing and exploring while making sure to have fun while doing it.
Get to know Eli
Born on the infamous North Shore of Oahu, he grew up charging some of the heaviest breaks like Pipeline and Backdoor. He’s a true waterman who spends most of his time in or around the ocean - from spearfishing to free diving and saving lives…yes, he’s done that on multiple occasions. When he’s on land, he’s a dedicated mixed martial artist with a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and has worked on movies as a stuntman. He’s truly a man of many talents, but most importantly he’s got a relentless pursuit to become better, go bigger and live life to the fullest. Something we respect here.
‘We first met Eli through our longtime friend and melin Fam Mark Healey. When someone we trust speaks that highly about someone else, it holds weight. We put an emphasis on aligning with the world’s best humans, people that go above their accomplishments and Eli is a perfect example of that. He’s one of the most humble, easy-going guys I’ve ever met and he’s building a real legacy out in Hawaii. I’m so stoked he’s officially on the team.’

‘Teaming up with melin has been a dream of mine. I spend most of my days in or around the ocean, the way their hats hold up to the abuse I put them through is crazy. Normal hats wear down from the water and sweat, these don’t. I’ve been lucky enough to join them on some trips recently and spend time with the team. So welcoming and so fun, exactly the type of people I want to align with.’
